Demonstration Garden

Beginnings
When the Sweetwater Community Garden first opened its gates in the summer of 2019, the Bonita Valley Garden Club was invited to create a demonstration garden at the very front of the SCG.
Before planting could begin, hardware cloth needed to be attached, raised beds built and painted, and garden soil and compost hauled to fill the beds.
Today
Jackie Riekstins continues stewardship of the demonstration garden and shares her gardening expertise with members of the SCG and visitors from the general public. Jackie welcomes help from other garden club members in maintaining the demonstration plot. Under her tutelage you can’t help but become a better gardener!
